- Reputable tipster Mark Gurman has detailed the likely launch windows for Apple's products in 2025
- First we could see the iPhone SE 4, iPad 11 and iPad Air 2025
- Later in the year we will likely see the iPhone 17 series, including the iPhone 17 Air
For some time now, it has looked as if Apple could be set for another busy year. In addition to the company's annual launches, there's also talk of an iPhone 17 Air and an iPhone SE 4, and now we have a clearer idea of exactly what to expect and when.
In a paid Bloomberg article (via NotebookCheck), reporter and reputable tipster Mark Gurman laid out a roadmap for Apple's product launches in 2025, and the first we'll apparently get is the iPhone SE 4.
That device – which we recently heard could launch as the iPhone 16E instead – will apparently have an iPhone 14-like design, complete with Face ID. Gurman also claims that it will support Apple Intelligence, which we've heard all before. These upgrades may represent a slight price increase compared to the iPhone SE (2022), but it is still expected to be marketed as a budget iPhone.
According to Gurman, it will reportedly release in the first or early second quarter and either alongside or shortly after we might get the iPad 11. It will reportedly feature an A17 Pro chipset (just like the iPhone 15 Pro) and 8GB of RAM, a combination presumably enough to power Apple Intelligence features.
An influx of airs
Sometime in the spring (probably between the beginning of March and the end of May), Apple will apparently bring a new iPad Air onto the market, which Gurman expects to have an M4 chipset and thus be closer to the current iPad Pro models . This slate could also come to market alongside some new Magic Keyboards.
Then in September we come to Apple's biggest launch of the year, with the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Air (or possibly just the iPhone Air). The latter will apparently use Apple's first in-house modem, be equipped with an A19 chipset and have a camera with a lens.
That could be the case this year when it comes to phones and tablets, although Gurman adds that a new iPad Pro with an M5 chipset could launch in either late 2025 or early 2026, so it's possible Apple will ends the year with it.
So that's a lot of devices that are supposedly on the way. If we include the iPad Pro and exclude the Magic Keyboards, that's eight different new Apple devices we could see in 2025, and taking into account the likely different sizes in which the iPad Air and iPad Pro will arrive market, this number rises to at least 10.
