Just a quick bit of information for the Samsung fans in our readership: reservations for the next generation of Samsung Galaxy devices are now officially open.
This series of devices is scheduled to be unveiled at the upcoming Samsung Unpacked event on January 22nd and will almost certainly be the highly anticipated Galaxy S25 series based on previous launches.
To reserve, all you need to do is visit the official Samsung store page and sign up via email. This will not only secure you a guaranteed pre-order spot as soon as they go live (likely after the event), but also a $50 house credit when you purchase a device, as well as a chance to win $5,000 on one Win the competition.
It's worth noting that this $50 credit isn't a discount per se, but rather a voucher that you can redeem for accessories at the Samsung Store. Samsung has confirmed that there will be additional savings of up to $1,250 once these devices go up for pre-order. So the credit is essentially a little bonus gift for cheap earbuds, discounted smartwatches, etc.
Reserve the next Samsung Galaxy devices now
If you think this reservation promotion is a bit unusual, know that it happens regularly at Samsung. The brand loves to run such campaigns before the devices are even announced to create additional hype for the Samsung Unpacked keynote. It did exactly the same thing with the Galaxy S24 series last year, and it also did something similar with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 in mid-2024.
Overall, it's worth signing up if you have at least a little interest in buying a Samsung Galaxy S25. While it's highly unlikely that pre-orders will sell out, the $50 voucher comes in very handy if you want to pair your device with, say, a pair of cheap wireless earbuds – of which there are plenty of options on the official website.
As mentioned, this promotion will also be combined with the various trade-in discounts, free storage upgrades, and other promotions that will likely also be available once pre-orders go live. I'm assuming the “additional $1,250 in savings” is the combination of a trade-in discount and a memory upgrade, although we won't know for sure until these devices are officially unveiled. Stay tuned for more updates!
